Today, we work with K12 schools where students create comics and graphic novels in the classroom. We work closely with teachers to address student engagement, literacy rates, and more.
Responsibilities
– Own the product vision and strategy, translating Lumi’s mission into a bold, actionable roadmap that accelerates literacy, storytelling, and AI adoption in education.
– Drive customer discovery with students, teachers, district leaders, and partners to deeply understand needs, pain points, and opportunities.
– Champion breakthrough applications of generative AI in K–12 learning and storytelling, turning emerging capabilities into differentiated features.
– Write world-class product specs, wireframes, and requirements that enable engineering and design teams to execute with clarity and speed.
– Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and Leadership to ensure seamless alignment and high-quality product delivery.
– Define KPIs (engagement, outcomes, adoption, retention, ARR impact) and create systems to measure, analyze, and act on product performance.
– Lead rapid experimentation and iteration cycles—prototype, test, validate, and scale only what proves impactful.
– Act as the product evangelist with customers, partners, and internal teams, inspiring confidence in Lumi’s vision and product excellence.
– Operate with full ownership, anticipating challenges, solving proactively, and always raising the bar for what world-class product looks like.

Requirements
– 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in edtech, consumer AI, and/or fast-growing startups.
– Proven track record of shipping high-impact products from zero-to-one and scaling them post-launch.
–Deep experience with customer discovery, data-driven prioritization, and building products that users love.
– Strong technical fluency—you don’t need to code, but you can partner seamlessly with engineering and understand tradeoffs.
– Exceptional communication and storytelling skills—you can rally teams, win over districts, and inspire stakeholders.
– Passion for education, literacy, and the power of storytelling to change lives.
– Comfort in ambiguity, with the ability to turn vision into execution under startup-level pressure.
Compensation
– Salary range: $150,000 - $190,000
– Equity range: 0.08% - 0.2%
Location
Remote within the US, with regular in-person meet-ups.
